Body Basics: Mindfulness with mental health and sensory support for 8-17 year olds
Service Description
Mind & Motion's series Body Basics presents Mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of noticing what is happening in the present moment, including thoughts, feelings, body signals, and the world around us. In this class, participants will explore mindfulness through occupational therapy–informed activities that support body awareness, sensory regulation, emotional awareness, and everyday coping skills. Mindfulness may look like quiet reflection, movement, creative activities, or social participation. The goal is to help participants better understand their internal cues, feel more connected to their bodies, and build confidence using calming and grounding strategies in real life.
